Well Trax just happened to be the same weekend that Britain received two weeks of rain fall in the space of two days. But this didn't stop the crowds pouring in! The show was rammed full of enthusiasts, modified cars and gorgeous girls although all were a little more wet than usual! VIBE managed to weather the storm and carried on playing throughout which eventualy lead through to a dry afternoon! Plenty of track action (with even a couple of the VIBE boys hitting the track) and plenty of interest in the full range of VIBE demo cars on show and the bass tunnel proving popular as ever packed with the new VIBE range for 2008.
Trax is always one of the best organised and biggest shows and despite the early bad weather it still remained on top.
With ISTS being ruined with snow, rain and everything else that could be thrown at it and the Streetlife show being a total let down is was left to Ultimate Street Car to bring a bit of normality and excitement back to this years’ season.
It wasn’t looking too good however as the heavens opened on the Saturday morning and soaked the crowds of bleary eyed and hungover campers. Luckily it didn’t last too long and by mid day the track action was in full swing as was the Bass Tunnel.
The Bass Box Challenge proved as popular as ever with loads of guys signing up in an attempt to win one of our SQ12 enclosures – or maybe it was just because they wanted to get up close and personal with the lovely VIBE ladies Tiffany and Sophie.
The guys from Trancelation once again provided some top tunage for the gathered crowds – it’s rumoured that the music could be heard on the other side of the track as far away as the main gate!
So once again USC has proven to be one of the highlights of the year – loads of people, great cars and even some sunshine – what more could you ask for!
With the show season in full swing it was time for us to make the 300 mile trip north of the border to Edinburgh and the Scottish Modified Car Show (formerly the Fast and Modified show).
The Scottish crowds are always on top form and this year was no different – with more than 14,000 people passing through the gates for the single day event. Once doing so they were treated to the cream of the Scottish modified car world with a wide range of modified metal on display.
As always VIBE took centre stage with the Bass Tunnel providing the main entertainment all day long. We had teamed up with the guys from Parklife (www.parklifeforever.com) and the two main men Craig Kelman and Stevie Lennon were on hand to play the latest tunes much to the joy of the gathered crowd.
The stunning VIBE girls Cassie and Tiffany were also on hand posing for photographs with the crowds and entertaining them on the pole. Making their first appearance north of the border the girls were swamped by guys all day – with queues forming just for photographs.
As always it was a great success and you will see us there next year too!
The last month since ISTS has felt like it has taken forever to pass so we were itching to get to the Modified Nationals at the East of England Showground in Peterborough.
With a brand new indoor arena open for the first time the Bass Tunnel took pride of place in front of the main doors. With the tunnel rocking as always and the Dredd in full flow no one could come close to the volume produced by the VIBE show team.
Our úber hot show girls Cassie and Tiffany were entertaining the crowds on the pole and main stage – with more people than ever entering the Bass Box Challenge. The winner, Dale, walked off with a brand new SQ12 for his time of 1 minute 12 seconds. If you think you can beat this time get along to one of our shows this year and find out!
Entertainment was supplied by the guys from Trancelation – both DJ Donny and DJ Rob had the crowds going with their unique blend of electronic music – see more of them at shows through the year.
Our next event is Streetlife at the NEC in Birmingham and it looks like being the biggest and best show of the year.
February saw us make our annual trip across the English Channel to France and more specifically Paris for the massive PTS show. With more than 250,000 people attending over the course of 5 days the event is one of the largest in Europe and as always the VIBE Bass Tunnel was the centre of attention.
Huge crowds engulfed the VIBE stand as we performed the awesome bass test and gave away free gifts – so huge in fact that we had to have security on the stand to stop people climbing over the demo cars! Speaking of demo cars it was the first outing in Europe of the award winning VIBE R8 – and it caused a storm! It was the most photographed car at the show – especially when the VIBE girls were posing beside it.
Paris is a fantastic show and well worth a trip – we will certainly be back there again in 2009 even bigger and better than before.
Finally the UK’s 2008 show season has kicked off – but unfortunately someone forgot to tell the weather! With ISTS taking place at the start of April we expected blue skies and the possibility of a suntan – unfortunately we were met with dark clouds, hail, snow and sub zero temperatures.
Despite the elements we battled on and the gorgeous new VIBE girls Cassie and Sophie entertained the crowds with their dancing displays on the pole. Their routine certainly warmed up the atmosphere and raised a few pulses!
The Bass Tunnel was in full flow for both days too with DJ’s Fraz and Tony taking turns to keep the crowd entertained – proving that the VIBE stand really was the place to be.
With ISTS now firmly established as a stand alone show its spiritual predecessor Donny is returning in September this year at its original location – Doncaster Racecourse, and as always we will be there!
Europe’s largest mobile electronics trade show – Car and Sound in Sinsheim is a chance for all the major brands in the world to show off their new products and toys for 2008. As always we had a strong presence with our Audi R8 and the brand new FLI Civic. With the cream of Europe’s demonstration vehicles all under the one roof it was going to be hard to make an impact – but the SQ quality of the R8 shone through and was met with very favourable reactions from not only our dealers but the highly trained EMMA judges many of whom listened to the vehicle throughout the 4 days.
